Dear Friends of French Affaires,
Please mark your calendars. My associate from Paris, Maud Hacker, and I will be in Dallas from January 27 to February 2.
We want to see the “Friends of French Affaires” – all our many alums who have enjoyed Elizabeth’s trips and the ones I have done for more than three years now. Maud has been alongside on most of these, and we have also designed new trips like the Cote d’Azur excursion, and a new Beaune language immersion to come alongside the popular Aix-en-Provence trip. And of course Maud’s recent creation, “Paris Fashion History.”
Kathy Boyett is the point-person for the occasion, along with other alums who are offering their hospitality. We would like to have several different venues and hosts, focusing on the Fashion History Trip to be held the second week of June (8-14 June). I will also take the opportunity to speak more generally about the other trips we do, all over France.
I am presently organizing a new trip called “The Vineyards of Provence,” together with wine specialist Helene Herve (see https://en.vignes-emoi.com/). The “Wine Route” of Provence, the “most beautiful villages of France,” abbeys, historical, and natural sites will form the backdrop. I’ll have a separate posting on that in days to come. Dates are likely in early October (3-10), a spectacular time to be in Provence.
This Newsletter is simply my way of saying, “Maud and I are coming to Dallas” and we look forward to seeing old friends and alums. And new friends as well.
