Dear Friends of French Affaires,
“Discover the sun-drenched vineyards of Provence, where rolling hills meet lavender fields, and every sip of wine tells a story of Mediterranean charm and centuries-old tradition.”
French Affaires guests may remember Hélène Hervé from our special vineyard and monastery tour of the Island of St Honorat lying just off the coast of Cannes, on the Riviera.
Together we have created a special new offering, “The Magic of Provence Vineyards.” Six days in the Var Département, on the renowned “route of vineyards” with their outlying regions, high above the famous coastal villages of Cannes, Antibes, and St. Tropez.
The area is known for rich wine growing estates, perched villages, the unique white fig and olive cultivation, sinewy roads and wildflowers. This is the authentic and unspoiled Provence. A deep cultural heritage.
Here, in the Var region, we gain altitude and enter a distinctive category of wine and culture. This is where the wine of Provence is its most characteristic. Hélène will be our guide through historical and cultural sites of the area We will stay at the enchanting Hotel Lou Calen (“The Lamp of Karen”) in Cotignac (one of “les plus beaux villages en France”) and at the former Knights Templar Lodge and Vineyards, La Commanderie.
The Var combines the Mediterranean feel of the Cote d’Azur, the ruggedness of Les Alpilles, and the terrain and ambiance of the Luberon. Then throw in vineyards and wine-tastings on the route du vin!
If you’d like a program of the trip prepared by Hélène, contact me at christopherseitz@frenchaffaires.com. You will get a better understanding of the journey that has brought her to this new venture.
Hope to see many of you in Dallas shortly.
Best regards, cordialement
Chris
