Dear Friends of French Affaires
“Discover the sun-drenched vineyards of Provence, where rolling hills meet lavender fields, and every sip of wine tells a story of Mediterranean charm and centuries-old tradition.”
I have now returned from 5 days in Provence working alongside Helene Herve for the Provence Vineyards tour planned for 3-9 October 2025. It is an area of Provence rich with charming villages, cultural sites, and of course stunning vineyards.
We have chosen four vineyards of different character: some classic and grand, some more family run, a favorite vineyard on the Island of St Honorat, by Cannes, and a final smaller domain. We have decided that the theme “Mer et Terre” (sea and country) best captures the riches of the region.
Three nights in Cannes (with Antibes, Renoir Museum, Grasse, Cagnes-sur-Mer) and three nights in the charming “village of character” Cotignac, with its famous troglodyte range circling the town. We will lunch at a farm bastide where the production of white figs has been re-introduced and sample duck and area cheeses. The villages of Sillans, Villecroze and Tourtour–village in the sky–are a must, as well as the Abbey of Thoronet.
I am sending this newsletter out as promised for those who have already contacted me, now that an itinerary and program are available to you.
French Affaires has experience with the Cote d’Azur portion of this new trip, from years past. Now we are able to expand into the truly authentic Var wine growing region as well, with its many special riches.
For a taste of “Mer et Terre” I believe this will become a French Affaires classic offering. Kindly let me know if you are interested.
With best wishes,
Chris, with Helene
