Introducing Maud Hacker

Dear Friends of French Affaires

Allow me to introduce French Affaires Associate Maud Hacker. Many of you know her already. We have now completed ten trips together. She worked with Elizabeth on various projects (and they competed for favorite shopping items!) and she joined me at French Affaires on the “Paris at the Holidays” 2021 trip. Since then, we have been to Provence, the Cote d’Azur, Normandy, Burgundy, and Paris. We are about to embark on a visit to the Dordogne, in February, to review details for that popular French Affaires offering. It is also a place full of memories for Elizabeth and me, including our honeymoon in 2009. Many of you will have experienced the riches of this historical region of France.

Here is Maud’s French Affaires biographical entry.

“Since 2006, Maud Hacker has been passing on the treasures of French culture through themed tours and tailor-made itineraries created for individuals and professionals. A lecturer trained at the École du Louvre and the Sorbonne, she shares her expertise with fashion houses and companies in the luxury and fashion sector (Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Hermès, Van Cleef and Arpels, Chaumet, and others). France’s rich history and exceptional heritage never cease to fascinate her and her guests – a heritage that inspires dreams! Maud will accompany you on a different kind of tour of Paris and throughout the best regions of France. Her characteristic cheerful tone is infectious and fits nicely alongside her deep historical knowledge. Maud recounts the treasures of France in astonishing stories and memorable anecdotes. Gastronomy, heritage, unusual discoveries, vineyards, niche museums and ateliers are what bring joy to her and her guests.”

The French Affaires Schedule for 2024 is now complete. You may refer to the website for a listing of trips and dates, as well as other information. These include Beaune (private trip in May), Aix Language Immersion, Cote d’Azur, and Paris at the Holidays.

Maud has now finished the brochure and itinerary for her Paris Fashion History trip. I have sent the details to those who have contacted me about this new offering. This is where she really shines, if I may say so. Her passion and energy come alive.

We have also settled on dates. Note this represents a change in prior planning (due to my travel schedule). The new dates are 20 October (arrival in Paris) to 25 October (final day with Maud).

The itinerary is Maud’s creation and so it is important to guard her special access and talents as a professional fashion guide in Paris. If you are interested, I am happy to send you a confidential brochure. You may consult the website shortly for a condensed outline.

As the year draws to a close, on behalf of French Affaires I wish you Happy New Year and bonne annee.

bien a vous tous,
Chris
