Christopher Seitz (Yale, PhD) has been tenured Professor of Old Testament at Yale University, Chair in the Department of Divinity at the University of St. Andrews (Scotland), and is presently Senior Research Professor at Wycliffe College in the University of Toronto. He has lectured throughout the United States, and in Europe at, among others, Cambridge, Oxford, Durham and Edinburgh. Marburg, Munich and Göttingen Universities in Germany. The Gregorian University and the University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome, and most recently at Centres Sèvres and The Catholic University of Paris.

He has accompanied his wife Elizabeth (Vanderbilt, PhD) throughout France and is presently the director of French Affaires, LLC. He and Elizabeth lived for four years in France, next to the Chateau of Courances. He has finished a book chronicling their move to France and Elizabeth’s successful lung transplant in Paris, in 2017, A Breath of French Air. He has just finished a book about their travels in France, Le Grand Voyage. A Life Lived Well in France.

He has done specialized work on schools of interpretation and the manuscripts produced at Abbeys in France during the 12th and 13th centuries. An avid reader of French history, he continues his studies now as a leader of tours to France. He would be delighted to speak on any number of topics.
