Our theme for our 2017-18 cookbooks, dinners and France culinary trip is “At the French Table” – and our August 2018 cookbook selection is “The Cook’s Atelier” by Marjorie Taylor and Kendall Smith Franchini. This American mother-daughter duo started their cooking school, wine shop and boutique called “The Cook’s Atelier” in Beaune, France, several years ago and have never looked back. Their new cookbook highlights stories of their culinary life in Burgundy accompanied by beautiful photos and more than 100 recipes. Marjorie and Kendall’s book, like their cooking school, is all about teaching classic French techniques in an approachable and aesthetically pleasing way.
